Education: B.S. in Exercise/Sport Science - Elon University

Brian Maher started The Summit at Rittenhouse (formerly Philly Personal training) in the spring of 2009 when he first moved to Philadelphia. He is an experienced, certified personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach.  He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise/sport science from Elon University and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.  Brian has been featured in Philadelphia Magazine, Be Well Philly, Runner’s World, Philly.com, and many other media outlets.

Brian originally started in 2009 as an in home personal training business. He grew his business and client list by getting his clients results. In fact, his clients saw such great results that he was recognized as Philadelphia’s “Best Personal Trainer” in 2013 by Philadelphia Magazine. After winning the award and gaining more popularity, he realized he needed a way to be able to help more people reach their goals. In September of 2014, Brian opened The Summit. His goal was simple: to develop a staff of personal trainers who are highly educated and qualified. Brian wanted to showcase his trainers’ education, experience, and talent so that potential clients could see how a professional personal trainer could help them reach their goals in a safe and effective manner. Since opening in 2014, The Summit at Rittenhouse has gained notoriety as being the premier personal training studio in Center City. Brian hopes that after a client works with a trainer on his staff, their opinion of what a personal trainer is and should be, will be forever changed.
